Antec mx 1 hdd enclosure

Looking at the specs we can see that, on paper, Antec is certainly not reinventing the hard drive enclosure. It’s great to see that the MX-1 has external SATA as well as USB 2.0, but the real highlight here is that an external SATA bracket is included so if you don’t have eSATA on your natively on your motherboard you can still take full advantage of the transfer rates it offers. This is the single best way to get internal drive performance from an external device. Past that, the specs tell us that the MX-1 is cooled by a very quiet blower-style fan, that is has an interesting build (it’s made of aluminum, plastic, and carbon-glass), and that the hard drive is protected by a silicone pad which will also dampen noise.
